I started my journey as a Spindleworks artist by learning to weave in 2006. Now, I consider myself to be a “jack of all trades,” as an artist who works with multi-media artist. I love painting, drawing, woodworking, pottery, in fact, any creative outlet I can get my hands on. I always want to try new things. I am inspired by looking at staff’s artwork and the belief in myself they instill in me. I have been at Spindleworks for 20 years! I love the people at Spindleworks, and I am amazed by the artwork people create. So many artists at Spindleworks communicate in their own way, so the artwork is unique. I like Gardiner because the people of Gardiner have been so welcoming to Spindleworks and the artists. The people of the Gardiner community treat us like normal people, not like people with disabilities.
