Kim Christensen

Kim started her journey as a Spindleworks artist with learning to weave in 2006. Now, she considers herself to be a “jack of all trades,” as an artist who works with multi-media artist. She loves painting, drawing, woodworking, pottery, in fact, any creative outlet she can get her hands on. She always wants to try new things. Kim is inspired by looking at staff’s artwork and the belief in herself they instill in her. She has been at Spindleworks for 20 years! She loves the people at Spindleworks, and she says, “I am amazed by the artwork people create. So many artists at Spindleworks communicate in their own way, so the artwork is unique.” Kim likes Gardiner because the people of Gardiner have been so welcoming to Spindleworks and the artists. “The people of the Gardiner community treat us like normal people, not like people with disabilities.”
